The fashionable brick townhouses which date from the late eighteenth or early nineteenth centuries are an attractive feature of larger towns and cities. The rather plain appearance of these terraces is relieved by the decoration of the door case using classical columns, pediments and faulights. The use of wrought iron on railings and balconies further added to the importance of these dwellings.

The traditional country pub stands out in marked contrast to many ostentatious city bars. Roughcast walls, a plank door, and a simple wooden sign may be of humble appearance, but inside the convivial atmosphere and warm welcome are the same in any Irish hostelry.
Dympna Kearns is an Irish watercolour artist and art teacher, who derives inspiratioon from her paintings from a childhood spent in various parts of rural Ireland.
Old farmhouses in particular have always held a fascination for her. Her paintings however are not sentimental but reflect a realistic observation of life in rural Ireland, particularly the traditional way of life in the Ireland of her childhood. Her love for the simplicity and tranquility of the Irish countryside is matched by her concern for its preservation, and as a result, she devotes a lot of her time to restoring, in her paintings, old farmsteads, bringing them to life, adding the birds and animals which she remembers so well from her childhood.

O tradicional pub do campo se destaca em contraste marcante com muitos bares ostentosos da cidade. Meeting in Dáil Éireann (Irish Parliament) in 2019 with the Seán Ó Fearghaíl, Ceann Comhairle of the 32nd Dáil, (Speaker of the Lower House of Irish Parliament). Earlier that year, the Ceann Comhairle represented the Irish Government at the Irish National Day celebrations in Brasília, the Federal Capital of Brazil. This has been the last, in person, St. Patrick's Day event, hosted by H.E. Ambassador Seán Hoy, at the Ambassador's official residence in Brasília, just prior to the onset of the COVID-19 worldwide pandemic.
Encontro no Dáil Éireann (Parlamento Irlandês) em 2019 com o Seán Ó Fearghaíl, Ceann Comhairle do 32º Dáil, (Presidente da Câmara Baixa do Parlamento Irlandês). No início desse ano, o Ceann Comhairle representou o Governo Irlandês nas celebrações do Dia Nacional Irlandês em Brasília, a Capital Federal do Brasil. Este foi o último, em pessoa, evento do Dia de São Patrício, organizado pelo Embaixador Seán Hoy, na residência oficial do Embaixador em Brasília, imediatamente antes do início da pandemia mundial da COVID-19.
